Safeguarding & Responsible Use
Plotto is used by adults, families and groups. These shared principles keep everyone — guests, hosts, children and animals — safer.
- 01
Children and young people
Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times on a Plot. Listings aimed at children (parties, school visits, dog training with kids) should clearly say so and describe any safety arrangements.
- 02
Vulnerable adults
If a guest tells you they're bringing vulnerable adults, take reasonable care to discuss access, terrain and any specific needs before the visit.
- 03
Animal welfare
Dog fields and Plots that welcome animals should have safe fencing, fresh water access where promised, and clear rules about other dogs, livestock and wildlife.
- 04
Behaviour and harassment
No harassment, threats, discrimination or abusive behaviour between guests, hosts or neighbours. Plotto will remove users who breach this.
- 05
Reporting a concern
If you see something unsafe, illegal, or you're worried about a child or vulnerable person, contact Plotto support straight away. In an emergency, call the emergency services first.
- 06
Local rules and permissions
Some activities need permission from a local authority or landowner — for example overnight camping, large gatherings, fires or amplified music. Hosts and guests should check what applies locally.
